Turn off and unplug electronics
Some of your home's biggest electricity users, like your refrigerator, need to stay plugged in 24/7. But other appliances and electronics don't.
Step by step:
- Identify other devices around your home that you can turn off and unplug for a few hours. For example, game consoles can use a lot of electricity—even when the TV is off.
- Unplug these devices during Peak Events and give them some time to reboot afterwards.
